Financial Accountant / Accountant (m/f/d) – Accounting & DATEV

As an Accountant / Financial Accountant (m/f/d), you will be responsible for accounts payable and receivable, receivables management, as well as general ledger accounting, and will record all business transactions. You will also contribute to monthly and annual financial statements, prepare VAT advance returns (UStVA), and work with our ERP system / DATEV.

• Managing accounts payable and receivable, including open item lists, reconciliations, and correspondence
• Responsibility for bank accounting, cash management, and overall payment transactions
• Handling receivables management, including dunning processes
• Posting all business transactions in the general ledger
• Preparing VAT advance returns (UStVA) and supporting accounting processes
• Assisting with monthly and annual financial statements (optional, if applicable)
• Processing incoming invoices in the invoice management / ERP system (e.g. DATEV)
• Posting credit card statements and travel expense reports
• Maintaining master data and performing general commercial accounting tasks
• Preparing and booking documents for international entities in cooperation with tax advisors

• Completed commercial training or a comparable qualification (e.g. tax clerk or further training in financial accounting)
• At least 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting
• Good knowledge of financial accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Good knowledge of DATEV and MS Office (especially Excel)
• Experience in payment transactions and booking ongoing business transactions
• Careful, structured, and reliable working style when handling numbers
• Very good German skills and ideally also good English skills, both written and spoken
